Horses

Beer

Beer

Beer, which is Dutch for Bear, is a cute horse and a real cuddly one. He has a lot of hair, which makes him live up to his name. When riding, Beer always tries his best, although he doesn’t understand everything yet. If you work hard together with him, he can walk really pretty!  This makes him a nice horse for both beginner and more advanced riders.

Bibi

Bibi has been present at the Oude Held since 2010. In 2012 she won her first jumping contest in class L. She is also very good at dressage. She has a very beautiful walk, but she can be a bit lazy. She sometimes need to get rid of some that energy at the beginning of the lesson, especially in the winter.

Binky

Binky

Binky is a cute pony. He is not very big, but he is build pretty heavy though. You have to keep him working otherwise he can be quite lazy. The look in his eyes and his cuteness have won over most of our hearts. He can also do dressage and jumping.

Bonty

Bonty is a sweet two-coloured Tinker. He is not very big but quite wide. Bonty has been at the Oude Held since October 2016, and is learning very quickly. It may still be a tinker, he can be quick when you want him to. You do however have to keep him active, otherwise his tinker-blood might start boiling up and he can become quite lazy.

Bonty
Bill

Buffalo Bill

Buffalo Bill is a big sorrel horse. He’s always willing to walk for you, though he can be a bit strong. There has been a discussion about his name. Whether it should be Buffalo Bill, Wollie or Bollie. Wollie refers to his woolly coat when he first came to the riding school during the winter. Bollie on the other hand refers to his big belly. He is good at dressage.

Bugatti

Bugatti is a handsome coloured cob. He can walk very beautifully. He is quite young and still has to learn the basics. He is a fast learner. When you’re clear about what you want, he’s a fine horse to ride.

Bugatti
Disco

Disco

Disco is quite young. You’ll notice when riding him. He can be a bit fast, but he wouldn’t hurt a fly. He is a small horse. He’s also reasonable slender. He is very suitable for small equestrians.

Jacky

Jacky is a chestnut Tinker. She is always happy and willing to work for you. Besides this, she can walk really nice when you work hard. In the stable she might seem a bit worried when you enter at first, but once she knows what you are there for she can be a real sweetheart.

Jacky
Lady

Lady

Lady is a small and broad pony. She looks very cute and works hard for you during the lesson. Though sometimes she bucks of happiness. She is a great pony for small equestrians.

Lucas

Lucas is one of our new horses, formerly he was a private horse. This sorrel gelding is about 1.60 m big and can be forward. If you work with him he can definitely show you his dressage side, but jumping is the thing he likes most. In the stables Lucas can be a bit cranky (although he won’t kick), but when he’s saddled you won’t notice a thing about this anymore. Because of his energy, he can be a challenge for a beginning rider. For the more advanced rider he’s a fun horse, with whom you can really work!

Lucas
Nescio

Nescio

Nescio is a horse for the advanced and the semi-advanced equestrians. In former times Nescio took part at dressage on M-level, but he is still very good at dressage and likes to work for you. On the other hand you have to keep him busy, otherwise he’ll see ghosts everywhere. He is also very good at jumping, but only for advanced equestrians, because he sometimes refuses to jump.

Pablo

Pablo is a pony, so he’s quite small. Besides this, Pablo hasn’t gained a lot of muscle yet, so he only suits our smaller riders. Pablo does like to work hard, so if you are clear in communicating he will try his best. He is quite sensitive in his mouth and still a bit inexperienced, so sometimes he can be somewhat insecure or he simply doesn’t understand what you’re asking from him. If you stay fair and clearly indicate what you want from him he will always try his best.

Pablo
Stinky

Stinky

Stinky is an Irish cob. That’s why he is broad, but small. He’s very lazy, so you really need a whip when riding him. He bucks sometimes when you’re using a whip in gallop. When the other horses go to canter, he stops walking, because he doesn’t want to run, then you have to be rigorous. He is a funny and sweet horse, though a bit stubborn.

Thara

Thara is the sister of Vogue. She has been crossing through the woods most of her life, so that’s why she is a bit forward. There are many things she still has to learn. She is very sweet and never bucks. She is also good at jumping, but can be a bit fast.

Thara
Tobias

Tobias

Tobias is since 2016 at the stables de Oude Held en he is awesome! Tobias loves to be brushing and cuddles. Tobias is very good at dressage and reacts good to your leg. He can do everything!

Vogue

Vogue is the sister of Thara. A few years ago she was used for breeding, so she has already had a few foals. During the lessons she can be a bit tumultuously, but still she is quite good at dressage and jumping as well. When you’re feeling down and need a hug, Vogue is always there for you!

Vogue
Vrouw van Dam

Vrouw van Dam

Vrouw van Dam is a grey horse and has won many jumping and dressage competitions. She is a very nice and sweet horse, but can be a bit fast during the winter. As a foal she has had an accident, that’s why she has a dent in her head. Fortunately it doesn’t bother her anymore. Vrouw van Dam is the favourite horse of many of the Parafrid members.
